Eligibility Requirements:
Families with children 0 - 18 years of age.
Referrals received from courts, social service agencies, and professionals, or self referrals from individuals parents/children.
Services Provided:
- Individual professional and/ or lay casework intervention with families identified as being at risk of child abuse and/or neglect.
- Parent Education Program providing parenting skills classes and informational presentations, such as alternatives to physical discipline.
- Ware-line answered during office hours providing information and referral services as well as lay counseling for low-level crisis intervention.
- Speakers Bureau providing information and education on topics related to child abuse and neglect.
- Visitation / Exchange Program providing supervised visitation services for court-ordered and agency-referred cases, and a neutral environment for the exchange of children for visitation purposes by custodial and non-custodial parents.
- Children and Divorce Program providing a four-hour educational seminar to parents seeking a divorce or modification of a divorce decree; teaching parents ways to recognize and reduce the negative effects of divorce on their children
